Tanger Med Zones reaffirms its international stand in Frankfurt, Germany.
From 14-15 September 2023, Tanger Med Zones was present at the Investment Management Exhibition 2023, alongside a plethora of renowned speakers, including Investment Promotion Agencies, Industrial Investors, and public sector administrators.
With topics discussed ranging from Sustainable Development models for SEZs, Investment and consumer patterns, FDI trends in Africa, and many more, Tanger Med Zones proved itself as an international actor and key stakeholder in Global Value Chains.
Tanger Med Zones, in particular, was acknowledged by experts and participants alike, as the embodiment of a successful Public Private Partnerships model fit for the African context. Its quality Infrastructure developed by an integrated ecosystem, 360° services, and one-stop-shop platform, are all attractive features for foreign investors and industrial operators stemming from this partnership.
Sustainability was also a main point of conversation, with the question being how can PPP projects combine governmental orientations and private sector needs to ensure a cohesive and performant environment in favor of SDGs. In this sense, Mr. Ahmed Bennis, Director General of Tanger Med Zones, stated during his speech “Faced with the challenges posed by various crises, Tanger Me, as a public-private project, has made sustainability a core value of its port, logistics, and industrial activities. In this light, Tanger Med has elaborated an action-oriented plan, based on Human Capital, Energy Consumption, Transparent Governance, and Territorial Sustainability. “
The Investment Management Exhibition provided a great opportunity to network with IPAs and gain meaningful insights into various aspects of investment promotion across the globe.
